London Underground Bond Street Crossrail Enabling Works
Bond Street Station Operations room underwent refurbishment as part of the Crossrail Enabling Works. To allow the refurbishment to take place numerous services were temporarily relocated to an Intermediate Station Operations room before being relocated back in the refurbished station Operations room. ARK was chosen as the Signalling Design contractor for the relocation of the Central Line Emergency Stop & Skip panel.
London Underground Edgware Road ‘S’ Stock Enabling
ARK were contracted to provide a complete signalling design solution from concept through to commissioning to facilitate the introduction of the longer ‘S’ Stock trains. The solution was required to maintain the existing performance capability whilst not increasing the workload for the local signalling staff.

ARK were contracted to undertake the Category ‘S’ Mentorship Review and Checking of the Signal Designs. The design alterations involved replacing the existing track circuits with EBI 200 track circuits to facilitate the introduction of ‘S’ Stock trains into the area. This was the first time EBI 200 track circuits had been installed on the LU infrastructure.
London Underground Metropolitan Line ‘S’ Stock Enabling
ARK were contracted to undertake legacy signalling design modifications to Rickmansworth Station to facilitate the introduction of longer ‘S’ Stock trains. This involved the re-location of numerous signals, trainstops and track circuit boundaries as well as the introduction of bespoke circuitry to enable the positioning of Fibre Optic Shunt Signals onto Gantry structures. London Underground Crossrail Enabling Project
ARK were contracted to undertake signalling design modifications to the Train Describer circuitry to enable the correct train display information to be transferred from Barking to Bromley-by-Bow in both directions after the introduction of a new centre siding at West Ham.
