Ark provided engineering consultancy services to the Head of Major Upgrades Sponsorship Department.

Ark provided technical and commercial support to the Four Lines Modernisation (4LM) programme and overseeing the delivery of outputs needed to achieve the business case, sponsor requirements and benefits realisation strategy.

Activities included

• Providing leadership for the use of TfL’s Pathway Assurance process pathway within 4LM and working with 4LM to ensure that they comply with it
• Writing policy papers and project reports as required on 4LM depot and signalling works which deal with emerging issues, risks and programme status. This requires knowledge of TfL’s approach to investment, the use appraisal tools and techniques to justify decisions made as well as the governance processes (e.g. Programme Boards, Finance and Policy Committee etc.)
• Managing interfaces between 4LM works and others parts of the TfL investment programme; e.g. New Tube for London and World Class Capacity
• Providing leadership and advice technical and commercial matters for signalling and depots across the Major Programme Sponsorship portfolio
